The JVC LT-40X776 LCD Television features fourth generation Digital Image Scaling Technology (D.I.S.T.) and GENESSA, a new 32-bit CPU dedicated to controlling picture refinement. JVC’s D.I.S.T. uses an exclusive digital algorithm to upconvert any video source to 770p. Jagged lines inherent in the original source are smoothed and vertical resolution enhanced. Another JVC LCD television exclusive is Five-Point Color Management, a new generation of this technology that samples red, green, blue, yellow and flesh tones and adjusts each separately to delivers vivid color reproduction.

The LT-40X776 LCD television also includes JVC’s HD DSD (Digital Super Detail) edge enhancement which is active on still, fast and slow motion areas of the picture for crisp defined edges. JVC further strengthens the product by adding Dynamic Gamma Control Circuitry and such home theater features such as TheaterPro D6500K Color Temperature, Digital Noise Clear Circuitry, and a four-language Interactive Plug-in Menu.

JVC's 4th-generation D.I.S.T. 770p seamlessly up-converts any video source to 770p thereby drastically reducing jagged edges and increasing the resolution of the original video source.

Exclusive 5-point Color Management system uses pin-point color sampling of 4 colors (Green, Red, Yellow and Blue) plus a new flesh tone axis, and adjusts for the color purity of each without affecting other color tones. The color management system process compensates for color range limitations and insures colors are as vivid as can be.

Motion Adaptive Dynamic Gamma Correction utilizes data from every signal level. It insures that tonal gradations are preserved from the darkest areas of an image all the way through to the brightest, leaving you with images that are transition-free for perfect detail.

HD Range Digital Super Detail (DSD) keeps the picture completely focused for both still and highly active images.

Natural Cinema 3:2 Pulldown smooths out the edges of video converted to DVD from original film sources, even 1080i sources, for smooth, natural-looking moving pictures without shuddering or shaking.

3D Y/C Comb Filter with YNR corrects hanging dots, color bleeding and other cross color interference for a clear, super sharp picture.
